It depends how much it's raining and what work needs to be done. Obviously any internal work can be done whether it's raining or not, but antenna installation is weather Dependant, so if it's a light rain we'll probably keep working, any heavier rain or storms/lightening, we'll either reschedule your appointment to another day/time, or split the appointment in two and do the internal work first, then finish off the outside work when the weather is better.

We take the safety of our contractors very seriously and will never take chances with their well being.

Absolutely. All our workmanship is backed by a 12 Month Sigtek Warranty, and any products we sell are covered by varying manufacturers warranties. For Sigtek workmanship warranty claims, call 1800 870 544.

Our ABN is: 84 349 488 418.

Beware of foot-in-the-door pricing (offering a very cheap quote, then discovering more work needs to be done so you end up paying much more). Before committing to a cheaper quote, make sure you ask them the following questions:

  1. Do you have formal cabling/I.T qualifications?
  2. Do you offer a 12 month workmanship warranty?
  3. Is the equipment quality assured, branded and made to Australian Standards?
  4. Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
  5. Is the cable branded and certified to Australian Standards?

Remember, the cheapest price is not always the best option. Sigtek prides itself on using quality, branded products, and our technicians are registered and qualified professionals.

Wi-Fi Networking Questions

We sure can. Wi-Fi can be extended to virtually any area you require for your home, farm, and small business, and is far more cost effective than traditional CAT5/6 cabling. Book a free, no obligation quote and a Sigtek Technician will come out to your location and discuss your requirements.

When it's setup properly with the right equipment, it's as reliable as CAT5/6 cabling. Wi-Fi has come a long way since it's inception and speeds are up to 1.3Gbp/s which is slightly faster than CAT6 cabling!

As many as the equipment is built for. We only use the best Wi-Fi equipment that's used in corporate and government environments so it's built to handle a high user base load. Home router units can usually handle 50 users comfortably, while business equipment handles 250+ users per unit. Book a free, no obligation quote to discuss your requirements.

Wi-Fi speeds have been increasing every year and are currently up to 1.3Gbp/s (CAT6 cabling is a 1Gbp/s) and although Wi-Fi speeds tends to wax and wane a little, it is more than reliable enough for NAS storage units and user backups. It's also enough to handle video streaming with ease.

5Ghz (Gigahertz) Wi-Fi is simply a higher and faster frequency than 2.4Ghz, and is also much less likely to interfere with phone handsets and other equipment running on the older, overcrowded 2.4Ghz band.

3G/4G Antenna & Booster Questions

Potentially yes, it really is a case-by-case basis and entirely depends on three factors:

  1. The distance between you and the nearest Optus/Telstra/other tower
  2. The terrain surrounding your premises (flat = good, top of hill = good, valleys = not good)
  3. The amount trees surrounding your area (more trees = less signal)

We cannot guarantee you will receive a viable signal from Telstra, Optus or Vodafone even with a booster and antenna kit installed. Our off-site assessment will give you a Service Estimation for each network giving you a better idea of what to expect.

Boosting a 3G/4G signal is a very complex process. Unless you know exactly what frequency and type of signal your nearest tower is emitting, chances are the kit you bought is not compatible with the signal you're receiving. The type of antenna is also crucial and specific to the signal you're receiving, as is the quality of the booster unit (at Sigtek, we only use the best equipment available).

Best to contact us and we'll pop out and see what you've got, and tell you if it can be used or not.

The antenna will either be mounted on your existing antenna pole, or a new pole will be supplied and installed in a discreet location at the rear of your house that is optimal for signal strength.

All our Antenna Technicians are certified ACMA Restricted/Open Cabling professionals.

Yes, so long as it's in a location that we're able to access safely and is not too close to power wiring.

It depends on how old it is and it's physical and electrical condition. If you're not sure, just book a free quote and a Sigtek Technician will come out and assess your current setup and upgrade options.

Currently we don't install or service satellite equipment.

If we are successful in gaining a good signal, you should be able to get all channels available from the closest tower. Head over to this website, choose your state and location, and it will show you what channels are available.
